Christmas in Fuengirola: more than 50 activities for all audiences

Varied and very extensive: that is the programme taking place these days for Christmas in Fuengirola. The Málaga town is filled with light and excitement from the centre to all its neighbourhoods, to the delight of children and adults alike, who can enjoy more than one hundred Christmas activities this year. Or places such as the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Carmen de Los Boliches, where a Nativity scene can be visited; or the City Museum, where visitors can see the exhibition “The Magic of Christmas”.

Music, the highlight of Christmas in Fuengirola

But if there is one great star of the Christmas programme in Fuengirola, it is music. Many concerts are taking place in every corner of the municipality. Such as those offered by the Pastoral Santa Fe de Los Boliches, whose upcoming performances will be on 28 December, in Parque Europa; 29 December, in Plaza de la Hispanidad; 2 January, in Plaza Punta Umbría; and 3 January, on Avenida Miramar (corner with Palangre street); all concerts will be at 18:00, and there will be a free hot chocolate with churros tasting at each one.

Flamenco will also fill the streets of Fuengirola with two zambombas, in addition to those already held. One will take place on 29 December at 20:00 in Plaza de la Constitución, and the next will be on the 30th, also at 20:00, in Plaza de la Hispanidad.

Fuengirola says goodbye to 2022 in style

The final farewell to 2022 will be another reason to head out into the streets after dinner with the family and celebrate this special day of Christmas in Fuengirola. From 23:00, Plaza de España will host a big New Year’s Eve party featuring the orchestra Punto y Aparte and the group Cenachero. The perfect place to eat the twelve grapes and welcome the year 2023.

For older people, a New Year’s Eve party will also be held at the Senior Citizens’ Marquee, in the Fairground, from 23:00 onwards.

The parade, the grand finale of Christmas in Fuengirola

To say goodbye to Christmas in Fuengirola, the favourite celebration for little ones cannot be missing: the Three Kings Parade. From 2 to 4 January, the Royal Page of Their Majesties Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar will be in Plaza de España collecting letters from the boys and girls of Fuengirola. From 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.

On 4 January, the Palacio de la Paz will host the grand Three Kings gala organised by Fuengirola Televisión. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, and attendees will enjoy circus performances, children’s songs, raffles and many more surprises.

The big day will be, as always, 5 January. The Three Kings from the East will make a spectacular entrance into Fuengirola by helicopter, which will drop them off at the “Elola” Social and Sports Complex. From there, at 17:00, the parade will set off and fill the streets of the municipality with excitement, sweets and gifts, bringing to a close, once again, a Christmas full of the traditional magic of these days.
