The Velá de Triana returns to Seville’s most iconic neighbourhood
After a two-year pause due to the pandemic, Calle Betis — the most visited street in Seville’s Triana neighbourhood — will once again be filled with lights, festivities and lanterns. La Velá de Triana, the main celebration of this Seville district, will take place from 21 to 26 July. A wide range of activities will go hand in hand with the leisure and entertainment on offer during these special days.
Plaza del Altozano will be another key spot for the festival, as that’s where the opening speech will take place on Thursday 21, delivered by professor Reyes Robledo — the official kickoff to the celebrations. On the remaining nights, this area will host the main musical performances, with flamenco as the star of the show.
