Park in Rota this summer with the APPARKYA app
If you’re going to park in Rota, you can use the Apparkya app to pay for your stay in Rota’s regulated parking zones.
Rota joins the 8 cities in Spain — Seville, Morón, Chiclana or Calahorra among others — where you can use Apparkya, either to pay for on-street parking (the parking meter) or to access APPARKYA car parks via the Apparkya Automatic Barrier Opening service.
Parking in Rota with Apparkya
Using Apparkya to park in Rota has the advantage that you can forget about the parking meter, since you can pay for your stay from your phone — with the added benefit that you can start, extend or stop your parking session, paying only for the time you actually use. This way, users don’t have to hunt for a parking meter or keep an eye on the clock to go back to the car to renew the ticket.
But in Rota, Apparkya is also used to pay for caravan and motorhome parking, benefiting not only local residents but also visitors and tourists. In this way, both locals and non-locals can focus on enjoying all the leisure options Rota has to offer.
Information about Rota’s regulated parking zones
Rota has four zones (more information about Rota’s regulated parking zone), identified by colour. These zones differ in the start and end dates of regulation, the rates, maximum parking time and cancellation rules.
Also, as a special measure this summer — to offer more flexibility to those travelling with a caravan or motorhome — you’ll need to pay your parking fee via Apparkya, with a maximum stay, according to the local ordinance, of 3 days for parking your caravan.
All zones have parking meters where you can pay, although the most convenient way is through the Apparkya mobile app, which is available on both Android and iOS.
