How can you find parking efficiently? Where can you park near your destination? APPARKYA provides the answer by developing an AI-based prediction system for available blue zone parking spaces for Apparkya, reducing search times.
APPARKYA, which manages regulated parking in eight cities across Spain and has more than twenty years of experience, has integrated into its mobile application, Apparkya, an innovative assistance system for users. This project is called Estima-IO (Occupancy Index Estimation).
How can you find free parking spaces?

Technology is becoming increasingly useful in our daily lives, and it now helps us find available parking spaces, even before leaving home. Thanks to machine learning, specifically artificial neural networks that combine historical data with current data, we are able to estimate the probability of finding a free parking space near the destination area. This is a mathematical algorithm that simulates the way an animal neural network works and is used to predict future behaviours and events.
APPARKYA, a pioneering company in the use of technologies aimed at improving the user experience in regulated parking, is incorporating this solution — which has undergone a development process of more than three years — with the aim of placing users of this service at the centre of its strategy. This alternative will reduce the time spent searching for parking, improving the turnover and availability of regulated parking areas, regardless of whether they are blue zones, green zones or MAR zones.
The city of Seville will be the first to benefit from this artificial intelligence project, which will later be extended to the rest of the cities where APPARKYA manages regulated parking, prioritising those where this new development is most needed.
